Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing Halloween Costume

I have a tendency to choose some really strange Halloween costumes. Generally the extra obscure the better! Last year I recreated a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ take from Queens of the Stone Age’s Someone’s In the Wolf music video. Here’s how you can create it as effectively.

Garment-Dyed Cargo Shorts In YellowFirst, a bit of background…
So that is the place I bought the inspiration for the costume. Or, you may say, ripped off the concept. Someone’s In the Wolf is a music off the fourth QOTSA album Lullabies To Paralyze and the video is typical of the band’s fashion.

Little lamb, little lamb…
The mask
It took slightly work, however I finally tracked down the identical mask the band used of their music video. I consider in some unspecified time in the future the band bought them on their web site, so that you much be lucky enough and already own one.

The unique model mask is product of comparatively fragile plastic, and supposed for kids, so watch out with it.

Sadly, the mask is not made.
The other different, if you’re not capable of finding the mask or aren’t going for the genuine look from the music video, is to seek out any appropriate sheep/lamb mask from any Halloween costume retailer and go for it!

Massive Dangerous Wolf
Methods to make the tail and paws
Where I diverted from the video is in the adding of a tail and paws to my costume, to provide others a hint as to why the heck I’m wearing a lamb mask and street clothes.

I picked up three pieces of lengthy faux fur from a craft retailer (JoAnn’s or Michael’s would have it) and a bottle of craft glue.

To make the tail I left the piece intact, folding it over right into a tube-like form, then glued it to itself to form a basic tail. I later pinned it to the inside of the back of my pants so it fell down to look like a tail was hidden under my jacket.

The paws had been really cuffs. I minimize the fur into strips that might wrap my wrists then security pinned them tightly around my wrists so the fur flowed out from my jacket sleeves. Voila, imitation paws!

Beware the smile…
The completed wolf in sheep’s clothing
To finish the look, I wore black pants, boots, a leather jacket, and a black shirt. Within the video, the wolves wear normal avenue clothes together with their masks, so you possibly can just about go along with your own fashion.

As I mentioned, the faux fur tail and paws were additives of my own doing and completely non-compulsory. One other concept can be to take along a (faux) sharp knife like the ones in the video, if you’re a QOTSA fan. Any and all variations can be completely up to you. The more imaginative the better!

All-in-all, one of the crucial simple but fully inventive stone island junior crew neck jumper Hallowe’en costumes you may ever have. Get pleasure from!
