VALDOSTA — Sitting at 4522 Green Island Drive is Southern Dwelling magazine’s 2017 stone island documentary Showcase Dwelling.
Positioned at Stone Creek Golf Membership, the customized-made residence was designed and constructed by Wilson Design and Development particularly for occupants Jim and Connie McNab.
For 21 years, Wilson Design has been building and creating properties, and owner Todd Wilson has been a member of Southern Living’s custom-builder program for the previous 12 years.
His shut ties to Southern Residing introduced the newly constructed dwelling to the magazine’s attention after Wilson submitted it for showcase approval, he said.
“We go through the design process where they (the clients) give me the needs and desires, and i design the house around what they want or need and what their tastes are, and in this case, we did it in the way in which that reflected the Southern Dwelling brand,” Wilson mentioned.
“Whiteside Farm,” as it’s been dubbed, is the newest plan that Wilson has submitted to Southern Living, and it is the first to be featured as one of many showcase properties by the journal, Wilson stated.
“This showcase dwelling not only demonstrates the qualities we look for in our CBP member … but (it) also gives back to the community by assist of worthy charities,” mentioned Kristen Bryan, advertising and marketing director for Southern Dwelling, in a press launch.
One of many charities the house benefits is Operation Finally Home, a nonprofit organization offering “custom-made, mortgage-free houses to wounded and disabled veterans, Labor of Love animal rescue and Valdosta/Lowndes County Young Life,” in line with the discharge.
To lift funding for the nonprofit, tours of the home can be found till Jan. 21. The hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon-four p.m. Sundays.
The tours are to indicate the ability of Wilson Design while also affording the company the prospect to additional their efforts in helping Operation Lastly House.
“We’re simply massive supporters of them,” he Stone Island Sale mentioned. “We just need to proceed to assist them, and it is a manner to try this.”
